Important safety notice

For all owners of a Carqon Classic, Cruise or Flatbed

Carqon has determined that some cargo bikes do not meet the high quality and safety requirements that Carqon sets for its cargo bikes. Carqon takes the safety of its customers very seriously and does not want them to run any risk.

What is the problem?

Due to a possible safety issue, Carqon is launching a voluntary recall. During the recall, the bolts and/or steering tube will be inspected and if necessary, replaced.

Intensive use of the Carqon cargo bikes may cause pulley bolts to come loose, which could potentially lead to bolts falling out and unsafe situations. In addition, Carqon has discovered that in exceptional cases the steerer tube might show cracks that could lead to the tube breaking.

We are not taking any risks and have therefore decided to inspect all Carqon cargo bikes. Owners of all models are advised to stop using the cargo bike immediately until the repair service has been carried out.
